My dad taught me how to load film into his Minolta 35mm when I was only in the 8th grade. I used to set up “shoots” in my room and around the yard only to find out the images looked nothing like the vision in my mind. It wasn’t until several years later that I learned all the tools and foundation (mostly through trial and error) to finally see my creative visions through the final product. As a Senior in High School, equipped with only a 35 mm Contax film camera I convinced every friend I had to “model” for me in the most ridiculous outfits and makeup done by yours truly! Birthdays flew past while playing and learning in my homemade dark room. Years later I randomly won a digital camera in a raffle and then of course… Permanent Glimpse was born! I had the pleasure of working with a most beloved friend and admired photographer Jason Lee where I was warmly encouraged. After years of trying my hand at everything from weddings to newborns I finally took the leap to niche my business around my favorite market… High School Senior Portraits and also a love for lifestyle and beauty photography!!!! 21 years as a dancer and about 13 years instructing dance has given me massive confidence posing bodies, being in tune to insecurities, and verbally directing my clients! This is it for me. They say when you find what is meant to be, “you’ll just know”. Well… I just know.
