Cierra | Colorado Sessions

This session came together by the skin of my teeth. I’m lucky to co shoot a big Corporate gig each year with a very dear friend of mine. Its in a different state each year and this year was beautiful Colorado. Both Nicole and I are portrait photographers so to break up all the boring award ceremonies and board meetings we have begun a tradition of spending our one free night photographing a model together. Welp… this year I thought ahead and found a sweet girl on instagram and got her all dialed in. We were in constant communication with all the details in place, as we headed out to get our rental car for the night. We were organized and pumped. We checked in, packed up and planned to meet her after our corporate shooting was finished. Long story short she was unable to make it literally last minute and now with no model, an unnecessary rental car and a setting sun we were a slowly deflating. Normally I might just admit defeat at this point but something lit the fire in me and before I knew it I was flying out the hotel doors into the city streets and began literally approaching strangers. We had one very short hour to pull something together or our rental car would be for not. I finally gave in and reached out to an Independent Colorado Modeling agency NXT Models and found sweet Cierra. She was available, could self style and met us with plenty of light to spare. I still cannot believe we found her, drove from Denver to Boulder and began shooting within one short hour. I almost gave up… almost, but I am so glad I didn’t because now I know I can make anything happen if I just stick with it.
