Aimee Griffin Interiors is a cut above EVERYthing else.

I entered the house for our shoot to find Aimee wearing designer jeans, black Manolo heels and a fur lined kimono with a hand beaded peacock cascading down her back. Just a casual afternoon in her beautiful home, you know, nothing special. Come to find out she would regularly make her Trader Joes runs in a tuxedo top and designer trench and school pickups wearing high end fashion and sneakers. This is the thing though, she likes quality and feels every woman should wear the good stuff regardless of the situation, period. Later that same day I learned the most treasure piece of advice from her when I mentioned how envious I was that she was rocking her goods in her everyday life, as where I will make a special purchase and never wear it because the right occasion never presented itself. I told her the tags would still be on these items years later and in most cases I would end up donating them before I ever worn them for myself. True story. I will never forget her response. She walked over to me and said, “Marie, just wear the silk pajamas and when they wear out, buy a new pair.” I totally heard her and since then I’ve been much better about wearing my “nice” things more often. Trader Joes, here I come. Aside form her impeccable style her interior designs are some of the loveliest things I have ever seen. Who knows where she finds the pieces she uses or how she can look a bare space and know how to fill it but It’s incredible and clearly I think Aimee is too. Enjoy a few of her lovely headshots.
