Ali, Ali, Ali… I could go on and on about this beautiful woman that I adore so much but instead I’ll gush about her beautiful art studio! She lives in a little bungalow tucked under the trees among all her grandfather’s art books, paintings and artist notes. He built this special place years ago as an artist studio for himself and now Ali has followed in his footsteps and literally lives where he spent his most creative moments. It’s clean and bright with beautiful window light and paint tubes and brushes everywhere you look. She eats and paints, sleeps and paints, cleans and paints some more. It happened to be raining the day I came to photograph her and the artwork so we were forced to play with the light we found inside and I’m incredibly grateful looking back because some of my favorite shots happened that day. She hopped in the sink and sat on her desk and we even set up some lights with colored gels to make an L.A. vibey splash of visual play. Her artwork can be seen HERE
