Each summer I reserve 3 or 4 days where I get to express myself exactly the way I want to. I choose somebody that inspires me, who’s attitude is inline with mine and who appreciates the collaboration we are working towards. The clothing is normally where I first feel a spark and then I enjoy doing the makeup, styling the hair and all the other things I normally book out, for myself. Its fun to be in control and have the freedom to stop and experiment or play around with lenses I don’t normally use just to learn and see what comes of it. I always feel a bit more like myself after these shoots and definitely have some new tricks up my sleeve when I get back to client jobs. Its important to stop and grow and feed your creative self. I used to feel selfish about it but now… bring it on! This day I chose Edan, I’ve known her all her life and feel a great amount too love and affection for her. I have seen her in all her phases and am just now noticing womanhood creeping in. She doesn’t yet see what we all do and I wanted to snatch it up before that happens. This is a moment flash in each girls life and its gone as quick as it appears…
