San Diego Sessions

OOOOMMMMGGG! This was the coolest and by far most exciting session I have ever done. Here is the scoop. I was down in San Diego with my childhood best friend Nicole of Nicole Hager Photography www.nicolehager.com! We got hired to work as a team photographing Sonic Burgers huge yearly corporate event! She flew in from Oklahoma and I flew down from Sacramento to work together for the very first time! It was a smash but here is where it gets good! We had one, JUST ONE evening off in the five day shooting schedule so we threw down the biggest challenge both of us could have imagined to fill that one night.

MISSION: Approach a complete stranger off the street and invite them out for an impromptu session (without seeming creepy).

CHALLENGES: We didn’t know the city at all. We didn’t have access to wardrobe and would be relying on this strangers style choices to inspire us. Neither of us have ever shot with second shooters before. Oh, and I don’t know… is our stranger even going to photograph well!!!! Then… we saw Zoë! Working at a local clothing shop and she had it all. Her outfit was TO DIE FOR and she was a living doll not to mention nice. Like really, really, really nice!!! She came, she rocked it, we flew home and the rest is spontaneous history!!! What a trill to meet a stranger and photograph them on the spot… I definitely grew as an artist and became a bit more confident throughout his process!
