San Francisco is home to the coolest company who’s owner I adore! All personal feelings aside, its truly just a beautiful company run by lovely people with a great foundation. ORGANIC!! This shoot was a big one. Lots of models, hair and makeup crew, a long drive for most of us and a full day of staging and shooting an ambitious shot list! Team work proved to be the ticket and I was once again reminded that you cannot do it alone all the time. Portrait photographers are well oiled machines that wear many hats and get the job done but in the commercial world there are too many moving parts and extra hands are a must. My advice is to prepare, prepare, prepare and be sure you have allowed enough time to complete your shot list in the time frame you have available. Don’t waste anybodies time and be sure to give extra thanks yous out because appreciation goes a long way. In my case my sweet models did quite a bit extra like helping to makes beds and John to cutie with the guitar saved my booty when I knocked over a huge potted plant that I thought was fake until a few gallons of water came flooding out! The water rushed towards all the clean bedding and before I could panic Johns cool head prevailed and he blocked and cleaned up the title wave for me!
